As an educational facility, SNAP provides both members of the public and artists, with the opportunity to learn about the art of printmaking through its Community Education Programs. SNAP offers two unique programs for Alberta classrooms: Artist in Schools and Students in Studio. These interactive programs are designed to compliment the Alberta curriculum of study and are available throughout the school year.

Costs of Community Outreach Programs will be calculated on a case by case basis. Please contact SNAP staff to discuss your organizations print program needs and desires.

SNAP Artists in Schools programs gives teachers the exceptional opportunity to bring print artists into the classrooms to work with their students. All programs contain cross curriculum content relating to professional printmaking practices and Alberta curriculum topics, including Social Studies, Science, Math, and Language Arts. Along with the interactive elements, each workshop includes a brief discussion on the history of print and how artists use it today. All Artist in Schools programs are 2 hours in length. Artists will arrive at the school approximately 15 minutes before their scheduled time to set up materials and prepare for the class. Programs may be booked as morning or afternoon sessions and can accommodate one standard class size per program.

Programs offered in the catalogue run on a calendar-year basis from January to December. Bookings must be made at least one month in advance and may be booked at the end of the school year for the beginning of the next.
