CALL FOR NEWSLETTER PORTFOLIO ARTISTS
SNAP produces a quarterly newsletter for its membership. At the sponsor level members receive limited edition artist prints, specially commissioned for each quarter's newsletter. SNAP welcomes applications from local,
national, and international artists, practicing all print and print-related mediums, who would like to become a SNAP Newsletter Portfolio print artist.
Application requirements:
1. Artist Statement which describes and contextualizes the proposed newsletter portfolio print (which is to be a print specifically created for SNAP only)
2. Between 5 - 10 images of previous print and/or print related work, or
images of the proposed portfolio print (numbered & labeled slides, or Apple
Mac compatible images accepted)
3. Corresponding slide list indicating the artists name, title of work,
media, and date
4. C.V (artist resume)
5. Self Addressed, stamped envelope for return of visuals
If your proposal is successful the specifications for the portfolio prints
are as follows:
1. Edition of 100 portfolio prints, plus 4 artist proofs for SNAP's archives
( or two editions of 50, or four editions of 25)
2. Paper size no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches. Image size is artist's choice
3. Statement describing & contextualizing the work, including title, date,
image size, media, plus a short artist bio (500 - 800 words) for the front
page of the newsletter.
There is a $500.00 (cdn) artist fee, plus $100 (cdn) paper allowance fee.

As a not-for-profit charitable organization, SNAP
is funded by self-generated revenues and grants from the three levels
of Canadian government, federal, provincial and civic. Donations
are always welcome, particularly supplies and services. Corporations
or individuals may choose to help the society by becoming a member.
Membership fees help SNAP offer its educational and exhibition programming.
All members receive invitations to attend gallery openings and other
events, and receive the quarterly newsletter.
Individual level - $25/year
Student/Senior level - $15/year
Sponsor level - $100/year
(you will receive four limited edition prints, commissioned by SNAP
annually.)

SNAP's quarterly

All members receive SNAPline, a quarterly publication that
details the activities of the society and offers useful information
and items of interest to the subscribing membership.
A membership at the sponsorship level includes four
limited edition fine art prints (one per newsletter issue)
commissioned by the society. |

Over the years the SNAP newsletter print has attracted local, national
and international emerging and established artists working in a
variety of printmaking media. Through the newsletter SNAP not only
generates funds but also encourages a broad interpretation of the
print while disseminating diverse examples of fine art printmaking.
